We are looking for a HSEQ Manager to take ownership of WHS across our construction sites. Based on-site and reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be the go to expert ensuring our people go home safe every day. This is a full time role for someone who leads by example and isn't afraid to have the tough conversations. In this role you will be responsible for:
- Updating, implementing and reviewing WHS management plans, SWMS and site-specific safety procedures.
- Conducting regular site inspections, hazard identification, risk assessments and compliance audits.
- Investigating incidents, near misses, and non-conformances and driving corrective actions to close out.
- Ensuring full compliance with the Work Health and Safety Act, relevant regulations and codes of practice.
- Delivering toolbox tasks, site inductions and ongoing safety training to workers and subcontractors.
- Liaising with all Citify Construction staff members, subcontractors and regulatory bodies as required.
- Maintaining accurate safety records, registers and reporting.
To be successful you will have:
- Minimum 5 years WHS experience within the construction industry
- Cert IV in Work Health and Safety or higher
- Thorough knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and codes of practice
- Proven incident investigation experience with strong corrective action follow-through
- Current First Aid Certificate and White Card (must be submitted as part of your application)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
